£2.5m Iinvestment into Black Country Bus Service!

Travel West Midlands is proud today to be unveiling 19 new single-deck vehicles into the Black Country, representing an investment of £2.5m. Mr Richard Bowker, NX Group Chief Executive, will officially launch the new vehicles assisted by the NX Bus Division’s Board Directors and Mr Alex Perry, Area Director for the Black Country.Alex Perry said; "Our brand new Volvo Wrights buses will be operating on the important 311 / 313 bus service between Walsall, Wednesbury, Dudley and Stourbridge. This is one of the conurbations most important inter-urban bus corridors. Our latest innovative vehicles, delivered as part of our ongoing partnership with Volvo and Wrights, feature an eye-catching livery and our latest route branding. New internal specifications such as modified seating and new seating layouts will enhance customer comfort, changes introduced as part of feedback following customer comments in the West Midlands. The new vehicles also feature the new digital Wayfarer CCTV system which is installed for the safety of our staff and our customers as part of our CCTV investment programme through our award-winning Safer Travel initiative. The system also utilises digital flat-screen technology onto which live CCTV images are displayed throughout the journey.
