Ridin’ the No.8
Travel West Midlands are proud to be sponsoring Ridin the No.8 by Euan Rose and Laurie Hornsby at the Birmingham Rep from 29th June to 17th July 2004.
Euan and Laurie, creators of the hugely successful Wallop Mrs Cox reunite with Malcolm Boyden, for a magical musical journey arround the ’inner circle’ on the legendary number 8 bus! You will witness the birth of the Blues, see the home of the Balti, nibble at a Kunzles Cake and visit a pub or two on a route filled with memories and people from Birmingham past and present.
Performed by a large cast of community actors drawn from across the city Ridin the No.8 is a story with Birmingham at its heart - a celebration of what makes this city so special. If Wallop Mrs Cox is anything to go by, there’ll be ’standing room only’ so you might want to get a ’return ticket’! And don’t forget to bring the family.
