Safe Driving Award for TWM Bus Driver

Travel West Midlands is pleased to announce that Bus Driver Thaka Dass Jassi, has recently been presented with the National ROSCO Safe Driver of the Year award for 2004.Mr Jassi, 64, who is based at TWM?s Wolverhampton Depot, has now completed 38 years of accident free driving and has completed over 40 years continuous service with Travel West Midlands and the Company?s predecessors.Phil Bateman, Corporate Affairs Director said: ?The Company is very proud of Driver Jassi for achieving such a high accolade. He has been a committed member of staff for a number of years now and the award is fitting recognition of his skill and efforts.?Mr Jassi joined Wolverhampton Corporation Transport as a Conductor in 1961. He then obtained his PSV licence to become a Driver in 1964. Mr Jassi follows in the footsteps of fellow TWM Driver Bernard George, who won the award in 2003.
