Service Update - 23 & 30-Oct-05

Changes for 23rd / 30th October 2005The following major changes and improvements to have been announced to services in the Hagley Road, Bilston-Wednesbury and Shard End areas:Hagley Road Services(from 30th October 2005)919109138139636Timetables for services 9, 19 & 139 are revised.Service 139 timetable is revised to cover the withdrawal of service 109.During the day service 139 will now run via Spies Lane and Manor Lane.At all other times the service will run via Mucklow Hill, as now. Services running via Mucklow Hill will be renumbered 138. Additionally, the 138will run to Russells Hall Hospital on Monday to Saturday evenings.Service 636 is extended to serve Halesowen via Mucklow Hill Monday - Saturday daytimes.Bilston - Wednesbury Services(from 23rd October 2005)263523645646Service 263 is withdrawn, see services 311/313 and extended 523 for alternative connectionsService 523 is extended to Wednesbury via Farmer Way/Ocker Hill replacing part of withdrawn service 263. This service will now run Portobello - Bilston - Farmer Way/Ocker Hill - Wednesbury 30 mins Monday - Saturday.Service 646 is extended to Wednesbury to replace withdrawn service 645. Service 646 will now run West Bromwich - Wednesbury - Darlaston every 60 mins Monday - Saturday. Shard End ’Shopper’ Service(from 23rd October 2005)693A NEW Shard End ’Shopper’ service will provide an hourly service between 0930 and 1600 Monday - Friday. This service, which is being introduced on an experimental basis, will run from Shard End via Timperley Lane, Hurst Lane North, Green Lane and Water Orton Road.As well as these major changes the following changes to services starting on 23rd October 2005 have also been announced:403414Service 414 is extended and will now run from Europa Village - West Bromwich - Morrisons (Wallows Lane) replacing service 403 which is withdrawn. 428Route is revised, this service will now run via Woden Road & Chestnut Road444Route is revised, this service will now run via Broadmoor Avenue, it will no longer serve Princess Road, Harvest Road or Galton Road.514A514CRoute is revised, this service will now run via Penn Road instead of Stubbs Road & Lea Road.644The frequency of this service has been revised, buses will now run every 30 minutes every day. Additionally, there are minor changes to the following services starting 23rd October 2005:17, 59S, 104/902/904/905/915, 120, 125 (this service is replaced by 126), 126, 274, 275, 348, 441, 503, 511/511E, 525, 541, 559, 598/698, 613, 641 and 682/683Service 531 will NOT be withdrawn and will continue to run to its current timetable after 23rd October 2005Revised timetables, where appropriate, will be available from Travelcard and Information Centres and other outlets at least one week before the service change.WMTIS update the www.travelwm.co.uk/bus/timetables.asp
