Smell of Sweet Success for Balti By Bus Leaflet

Travel West Midlands has curried favour with local bus passengers by joining forces with Marketing Birmingham to create a ’Balti Triangle by Bus’ leaflet - and the smell of sweet success is in the air as 1,000 special limited edition ’Scratch & Sniff’ leaflets have been printed to titillate taste buds.30,000 publicity leaflets have been printed which include some general information about the history of balti, a bus route map and service frequency guide and 15% discount vouchers for selected restaurants based in the Balti Triangle area for anyone who shows a valid Travel West Midlands bus ticket or Travelcard. Leaflets will be distributed to over 700 outlets throughout the region.Phil Bateman, Travel West Midlands’ Corporate Affairs Director, said: "We wanted to encourage people to go out for the evening by bus, enjoy a balti and a couple of beers, without worrying about driving home. There’s nothing like the smell of a good curry to titillate taste buds which is why we’ve created a special Scratch & Sniff version of the leaflet."Anna Chambers from Marketing Birmingham said: "There are around 50 Balti houses in Birmingham’s Balti Triangle and it’s so easy to get to the area by bus.
