National Express has been recertified to the new 2015-standard ISO 9001. All eleven of the operator’s UK bus garages - including Dundee - were judged to meet the internationally recognised standard.
National Express Fleet Manager Vic Duddy says:
"This is a great testament to everyone involved.
“British Standards Institution staff came and audited our systems, processes and communications at several bus garages. They examined the work we do, including vehicle inspections, maintenance, services and MOTs.
“They also looked at our training records and the measures National Express uses to monitor the performance of our bus services.”
ISO 9001 standard is based on a number of quality management principles, including a strong customer focus, the motivation of top management, the process approach and continual improvement.
The ISO (International Organization for Standardization) says:
“Using ISO 9001:2015 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good quality products and services.”
