Something to Smile About!! + Free Travel for Kids!

It takes a team of over 5000 staff to keep our customers moving in Coventry and the West Midlands... bus drivers.....engineers, support staff - working round the clock, 24-7 to meet the needs of our customers. On 24th July (24/7), Travel West Midlands (TWM) will be launching the SMILE campaign to refocus some of the priorities within our business - contrary to popular belief, we are not in the ’bus business’ moving people, but in the ’people business’ moving buses! This ongoing, long-term campaign will promote an atmosphere of courtesy and respect both within the Company and towards our customers. Our objective is to make our Company a better place to work and to ensure that our customers travel with us as a matter of choice, not just out of necessity! And as part of the exciting SMILE WEEK, Travel West Midlands and Travel Coventry are pleased to announce that on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th July - all children under 16, who are wearing a ’SMILE badge’ - CAN TRAVEL FREE on TWM and Travel Coventry bus services. Approximately 10,000 badges will be produced so arrive early to avoid disappointment!Denis Wormwell, Chief Executive of Travel West Midlands said: "We are launching this campaign with a series of promotional events throughout the West Midlands and I would urge our customers to come along to talk to us and let us have their views on buses and trams. Free travel will also be available for children under 16 who are wearing one of our special limited-edition SMILE badges. Please look for further information on your regular bus service for the most convenient event and meet with us - there will be competitions and prizes, so don’t miss out - we may just give you something to smile about!"As part of ’Smile Week’, TWM will be taking a specially branded bus across their West Midlands bus network to meet with customers, talk through the issues - and there may also be some goodies for the kids! The specially branded bus and TWM / Travel Coventry staff will be in the following areas on the dates shown below:DateLocationTimesMonday 24th JulyBirmingham (Victoria Square)12:00 > 18:00Tuesday 25th JulyCoventry (Pool Meadow Bus Station)10:00 > 15:00Tuesday 25th JulySolihull Town Centre10:00 > 15:00Wednesday 26th JulyWolverhampton (St George’s Tram Stop)10:00 > 15:00Thursday 27th JulyMerry Hill Shopping Centre10:00 > 15:00Friday 28th JulyWalsall (Park Street)10:00 > 15:00
