Supporting the Evening Economy
Travel West Midlands operates a comprehensive network of services, operating an 18 hour day, 7 days a week. Travel West Midlands ’oils the wheels’ of the local economy by providing frequent services in all the West Midlands County’s Towns and Cities. Travel West Midlands bus services are a common sight during the day, but there is also huge support given to the West Midlands evening economy by the Company. Phil Bateman, Corporate Affairs Director said: "Our services have gone a long way to supporting the region’s growing night time economy. More than 25 million passengers a year are carried by Travel West Midlands after 7.00pm in the evening. An ’Evening Saver’ dayticket has been designed and marketed which gives unlimited use on all Travel West Midlands and Travel Merry Hill buses from 7.00pm and is valid right up until the last day time service. Whilst the ticket (£1.40) is not valid on night bus services, it certainly is giving valuable support to the evening and late night outlets that are springing up in all the Town and City Centres of the County.
