Travel West Midlands Gives Donation to Local Mosque

Travel West Midlands have recently begun working in partnership with Markazi-Jamiat-Ahl-e-Hadith Mosque, based in Green Lane, Small Heath. As part of the partnership, the company have given a donation of £600 to the Mosque who have been instrumental in helping TWM achieve some positive results within the local community in recent months.President of the Mosque, Abdul Hadi, has been a leading figure working with TWM to implement initiatives to deter and detect anti-social behaviour on the bus network in the Washwood Heath area of Birmingham. Other members of the Islamic community were also involved through East Birmingham Mosques. The Mosque has also been pro-active in distributing Urdu translated Operation Safer Travel leaflets to their members and promoting a "safer travel" message.Martin Nixon, Garage Director at TWM’s Lea Hall Garage said, "We have been working hard over recent months to create a good working relationship with local community leaders in the area.
