Trip Down Memory Lane for Joe Harvey, 92

Travel West Midlands hosted a special visit recently to Perry Barr Garage and it certainly was a trip down memory lane for Joe Harvey, 92, an ex bus conductor, driver and inspector.Joe, from Tipton, contacted the Company to remind it that Perry Barr Garage, based in Wellhead Lane, was 70 years old on 19th July 2002. To commemorate the occasion staff at Perry Barr Garage invited Joe to visit them to see how the garage had changed over the years. Matthew Parker, Travel West Midlands Traffic Manager at Perry Barr said: "We gave Joe a quick tour around the garage and he had plenty of tales to tell about his time on the buses - from pantomimes, wrestling matches, through to his days with St John Ambulance."After the event, Joe wrote: "My thanks to all staff concerned for the overwhelming hospitality afforded me.
