TWM Hosts Transport Secretary

Travel West Midlands welcomed The Rt. Hon Alistair Darling to Birmingham on Tuesday, 2nd November, when he visited the region on his way to the Bus and Coach show 2004 at the NEC.The Secretary of State for Transport met senior executives from TWM, the largest regional Bus Company in the UK, who showed off two brand new buses, which were part of a recent £10m investment into vehicles.A photo shoot took place for the press at The Maypole where a new Gemini 11 Outer Circle bus and a Trident 45/47 Pershore Road service were present.Mr Darling and his colleagues were then whisked away on the Gemini to the Coach and Bus show at the NEC where he took part in another photo opportunity before opening the show.Phil Bateman, Corporate Affairs Director: "We are very pleased to be asked to show off our latest additions to the fleet. I’m sure the Secretary of State will have been impressed by the quality of vehicles and our obvious commitment to improving public transport here in the West Midlands.
