West Brom goes low floor

National Express West Midlands is now operating 100% low floor buses from their West Bromwich bus garage following a £2million investment in new vehicles.All 169 buses based at the garage, located on Oak Lane, feature a fully low floor fleet - allowing quick and easy access for elderly passengers and buggies. Over 400 drivers based at the site have received specialist low floor training on the new vehicles.Kevin Belfield, Director of National Express West Midlands, said:n“We have invested heavily in new vehicles this year to provide West Bromwich with a modern fleet of buses which are 100% low floor. We employ over 400 drivers at the West Bromwich garage and they have all received low floor training to provide the best customer service possible.”nThe low floor buses will run across over twenty bus routes linking West Bromwich with Birmingham and the Black Country.
