Winter Events in Birmingham by Bus
Travel West Midlands, in partnership with Birmingham City Council, have produced a new ’Winter Events in Birmingham by Bus’ leaflet which highlights the huge range of Winter attractions that are happening across the city and surrounding areas. Gail Jones, Sales Manager for Travel West Midlands said; "We very much value our partnership with Birmingham City Council and we hope the new leaflets will be hugely popular across the city. Birmingham has a fantastic amount of exciting events happening in the run up to Christmas and we are hoping that people can have a good day out with their family by using the bus to travel to the various events. The TWM bus network connects local communities across the city and the Midland Metro which also operates directly into the city centre. It really has never been easier to use public transport, leave the car at home and enjoy the festivities with Travel West Midlands.Cllr Ray Hassall, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Sport and Culture said; "Birmingham City Council is providing the best Christmas programme ever this year and working with partners such as Travel West Midlands means that we can get the information to the widest possible audience through joint publicity. Using public transport means that people can relax and not worry about enjoying themselves, especially when visiting attractions such as the Frankfurt Market to sample the glhwien. Public transport also makes great economic and environmental sense for a family Christmas Day out."Click here to read more or pick up a copy of the guide, which includes a range of bus service information, from all Birmingham libraries and at all TWM Travelcard & Information Centres in the region.More information is also available at www.birmingham.gov.uk/christmas
