Travel West Midlands, in partnership with Wolverhampton City Council, has produced a new ’Winter Events in Wolverhampton by Bus’ leaflet which highlights the huge range of Winter attractions that are happening across the city. This year the leaflet has an added dimension as it now includes a comprehensive route map for all TWM bus services in the Wolverhampton area. Click here to download the map (1.6MB PDF)Gail Jones, Sales Manager for TWM said: "We very much value our partnership with Wolverhampton City Council and the new leaflets are proving to be hugely popular across the city."Wolverhampton has a fantastic amount of exciting events happening in the run up to Christmas and we are hoping that people can have a good day out with their family by using the bus to travel to the various events.’The TWM bus network connects local communities across the city and the Midland Metro also operates directly into the City Centre. It really has never been easier to use public transport, leave the car at home and enjoy the festivities with Travel West Midlands.’She added: ’We also now have an easy to understand bus network map included within the leaflet which we think will prove useful for travelling around the city. We hope that Wolverhampton residents see the opportunities that are there and get themselves a copy.’The new events guide and bus map is available from all Wolverhampton libraries, the Wolverhampton Tourist Information Centre and all TWM Travelcard & Information Centres in the region. For more information click here to download the leaflet (1MB PDF) or see www.wolverhampton.gov.ukHighlights include:Bonfire and Fireworks Display5 NovemberGates open: 5.30pmChildren’s fireworks: 7pmBonfire lit: 7.30pmMain display: 8.30pmWest ParkTickets available from the Little Civic box office or on the gate on the night.Tel: 01902 552121 for more detailsFestival of Remembrance6 November at 2pmWulfrun HallProgram includes: Band of the Fire Brigade, Parade of Standard Bearers, Male Orpheus Choir, Service of Remembrance and Community SingingChristmas Lights Switch On16 NovemberHungarian Festival7-21 DecemberHungarian Market, Synthetic Ice Rink, Christmas Grotto and exhibitions at Light House Media Centre and Bantock House.MusicCivic Hall and Wulfrun HallVarious dates and timesTel: 01902 552121 for more detailsArtists include: Billy Idol, Marrillion, Jem, Anthony & The Johnsons, Maximo Park, Human League, David Gray, Hard-Fi, Robert Plant and The Strange Sensation, Bjorn Again - Tha Abba Xmas Spectacular and James BluntTheatre and PantoPaddy McGuiness - The Dark Side of the Force7th NovemberCivic Hall (Over 18’s Only)Tel: 01902 552121 for more detailsAnnie7-12 NovemberGrand TheatreTel:01902 429212 for detailsA Man for All Seasons14-19 NovemberGrand TheatreTel:01902 429212 for detailsThe Little Match Girl15-16 NovemberArena TheatreTel: 01902 321321 for detailsSt Petersburg Ballet Theatre29 November - 3 DecemberGrand TheatreTel:01902 429212 for detailsKen Dodd Christmas Show4 DecemberCivic HallTel: 01902 552121 for more detailsWild, Wild West - The Panto10-18 DecemberArena TheatreTel: 01902 321321 for detailsWild, Wild West - The Panto10 December - 5 FebruaryGrand TheatreTel:01902 429212 for detailsChristmas and New Year Trading Wolverhampton City Centre Company confirms Christmas Late Night Trading as follows:Wednesday, 16-Nov-05Christmas Lights Switch-OnOpen to 9pmWednesdays therafterOpen to 9pmMonday, 12-Dec-05and every weekday night thereafterOpen to 9pmSaturday, 17-Dec-05Open to 7pmSaturday, 24-Dec-05Christmas EveOpen to 5.30pmSunday, 25-Dec-05Christmas DayCLOSEDMonday, 26-Dec-05Boxing DayOpen 10am-5pmTuesday 27- Dec to Saturday 31-Dec-05Open 9am-5.30pmSunday, 1-Jan-06New Year’s DayOpen 10.30am-4.30pmMonday, 2-Jan-06Bank HolidayOpen 10am-5pmTuesday, 3-Jan-06Open 9am-5.30pm
