Cash Fares - Single Journeys
Our single journey on-bus cash fares are based upon 'fare stages' - your fare is calculated by the number of 'fare stages' that your journey takes you through.
- Each bus route is split into a number of fare stages, with each fare stage usually containing about 3 bus stops.
- The fare goes up each time you reach a new stage.
- Child fares are available to young people aged 5-15 (inclusive).
- Accompanied children under 5 travel free.
- Dogs travel free on our services.
The easiest way to find out how much your fare will be is to ask the driver, simply state where you wish to go and your driver will tell you the exact fare.
Please note: Child cash single fares are not available after 10pm (unless the child has a Centro under 16 photocard) however Daysaver tickets purchased before 10pm and travelcards are valid for travel all day.
If you are making more than one bus journey in a day you may find it easier and more cost effective to buy a Daysaver which is valid for travel on ALL day on ALL National Express local bus services within the area on the day of purchase.
Our buses have an exact fare policy and the driver cannot give change, so please make sure you have the correct money. The exact fare policy ensures that loading times are kept to a minimum.
