It's all change for pupils of Harris Academy when the new term starts next week (Friday 16th August), but National Express Dundee is reassuring kids, parents and staff that its buses will continue to serve the relocated school.
Amendments have been made to the bus operator's services to ensure adequate transport to the school's new premises at the former Rockwell Academy building in Lawton Road. Extra buses are being added to the timetable for the first few days of the new term to ensure a smooth transition.
National Express Dundee's 11S and 12S are the new dedicated school buses serving the relocated Harris Academy, replacing the 1S and 22S. Other public buses which travel past the school include the 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 22.
Full details of the times and routes of these revised school services can be found on the website nxdundee.co.uk, where there is a leaflet about the new timetable available for download and a contact form for any queries about the school's services.
Alternatively, information on school transport for all primaries and secondaries in Dundee, as well as details on the full range of fares available for children and adults, can be found at the bus operator's Travel Shop in the city centre, as well as on the website.
A Child Weekly ticket costs just £7.40, offering 7 days of unlimited travel, which means young people are connected with school, home, friends, the shops or the cinema - all without needing to rely on mum or dad's taxi!
