National Express Dundee is helping connect local college students with their classes, homes and friends using its unique mobile ticket machine.
The bright red ticket trolley is out and about in the city each week, making it quicker and easier for students and other commuters to catch a bus between campuses and the city centre.
The trolley is often to be seen at peak times at bus stops outside the Overgate Centre and at the Gardyne Road campus, to provide young people with easy access to the full range of National Express tickets, including the weekly student ticket, which costs just £8.50 a week for unlimited travel around the city.
Customer Service Adviser David Wilkinson operates the mobile machine – he says it definitely speeds up the process: “It certainly helps customers get on the bus quicker. We can provide change, help them get the correct tickets, so then there’s a steady stream of people ready to simply board the vehicle and find a seat. It really eases the process, especially at peak times.”
