Proud poppy display on Dundee buses

Xplore Dundee is getting ready to welcome on board young people collecting for the annual Poppy Appeal.

Around 80 cadets will be able to travel on the bus for free on Saturday 9th November as they move around the city centre to collect money for Poppyscotland.

The bus operator provides operational support for the collection and gives a donation each year through the National Express Employee Charity Panel.

Managing Director Christine McGlasson said: “Poppyscotland is a charity we are proud to support and all of the buses in our fleet are currently displaying a poppy to show our partnership with this worthy cause.

“We will also be asking our drivers to pull over on Remembrance Sunday and Monday 11th November at 11am to mark the traditional two minutes of silence held across the country.   Passengers should expect a brief pause in their journey so that employees and members of the public can take part in this national moment of reflection.”
