2007 Fares Revision Announced

Travel Dundee announces that a fares revision will become effective from January 8th 2007.

Phil Bateman Corporate Affairs Director said "We are making our annual fares revision effective from the 8th January. We are hoping to encourage more people to use the bus by simplifying fares and reducing the number of cash fares that we currently have from four to three. We are also reducing the One Week Travelcard price to ﾣ10, and reducing the Four week Travelcard to ﾣ37.00. All other unlimited Travelcard prices are frozen.

The strategy that we are operating will boost patronage by encouraging bus users to take advantage of the flexibility of Travelcards. Travelcards have never been better value, and by switching to their use will bring the additional benefit of reducing the 'dwell time' buses spend at stops, which helps overall reliability of the bus service.
The young person's concessionary fare scheme becomes operable allowing 16-18's to receive1/3rd discounts off Adult fares - providing that they are in possession of a valid young person's card."
