Student ID verification
We have recently updated the mTicket app, to make student verification simpler and quicker. You can now upload your student verification directly through the app to get access to student tickets.
How to buy student bus tickets:
1. Open the mTicket app and head to your “Account” section, found in the menu at the top right of the home screen
Select “My profile”
2. Tap “Discounts”
3. Select ‘Student 18+’ and enter your student ID code for instant verification
4. Student tickets will then be available to purchase straight away from the 1 week & 4 week menu on the home screen
Account balance
You can now store funds directly in the app. Top up your balance and travel with ease, knowing you’re always ready to hop on board without needing cash or a card.
How to add credit to your account balance:
1. Open the mTicket app
2. On the homescreen, select ‘Account Balance’ and tap ‘Add Funds’
3. Select the amount you want to add, tap ‘Continue’, and choose your preferred payment method, including Google Pay or Apple Pay
4. That’s it! You can now buy tickets anytime, anywhere using your account balance.

- Purchase a ticket in seconds wherever you are for use across all our bus routes.
- Use our app's handy ticket wallet feature to store and keep track of your tickets.
- Just before you board the bus, select your ticket, tap on the green 'Activate Ticket' button.
- Board the bus and scan your mTicket QR code using the scanner at the bottom of the red reader.
- Most ticket types are available including singles, Day ticket, group tickets and 1 week & 4 week travel.
