Dundee Bus Drivers Take the Challenge!
Three kind-hearted bus drivers from the city's largest bus operator, Travel Dundee, will begin a mammoth charity cycle ride and hill climb this weekend.
Travel Dundee bus drivers Stewart MacKay, Stephen Ramsay and George Angus will be setting out on Sunday 22nd April to cycle the 190 miles along the Far North West Cycle Route, and, if that's not enough, will then be pulling on their hiking boots and climbing gear and climbing the 3,000ft, 6 mile Ben Hope. The challenge is expected to take four days.
Stewart, Stephen and George will be taking part in the challenge to raise money for the Scottish Spina Bifida Association. Stewart's four-year old daughter suffers from the condition.
Jim Lee, Managing Director of Travel Dundee said; "We fully support the guys with the challenge that lies ahead this weekend. They've worked very hard to pull all the arrangements together and we wish them all the best. It's certainly not going to be an easy four days for Stewart, Stephen and George but we hope that their efforts will also be reflected in their fund raising for the charity. It's all for an excellent, worthwhile cause."
The team have set up their own donation website which is available through www.justgiving.com/bigthumper or at www.justgiving.com/ramrod
