Dundee to London Charity Bike Ride

On Saturday 12th May, 15 kind-hearted bus drivers from Travel West Midlands (TWM) will be embarking on a 520-mile, 4 day, charity cycle ride from Dundee to London - taking in various towns and cities along their challenging route.

To make it even more difficult, the team are using two tandem bikes for their mammoth endurance test, which is being undertaken to raise money for the National Missing Persons Helpline, with the target being ᆪ5,000.

Stuart Henry, Corporate Affairs Manager for National Express Group's Bus Division said; "The team have been training hard over the past few months and are now only days away from the mammoth task. We're pleased that everyone has pulled together and we've raised over ᆪ2,000 so far for the National Missing Persons Helpline, a National Express Group-supported charity. Whilst on the bike ride, we also hope to also raise the profile of several missing persons cases within certain areas of the country. The team have had some tremendous support from local businesses across the West Midlands and everyone wishes them the best of luck. The charity ride will take the team through Tayside, Fife, Cumbria, Lancashire, the West Midlands, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire so please come out and show your support for the charity and the team. They're going to do us proud!"
