New Managing Director in driving seat for National Express buses

National Express has appointed Dave Kaye as Managing Director for their UK Bus business.

Dave will spearhead the company’s bus operations across England and Scotland - including the Dundee network which employs over 300 staff locally.

47 year old Dave takes the driving seat following an extensive 30 year career in the transport industry which started as a Traffic Clerk in West Yorkshire. From there Dave climbed the career ladder at North Western Trains and Great Eastern Trains before becoming Operations Director for First Group in 2004 and Chief Operating Officer in 2008. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, Institute of Railway Operators and an Alumni of Harvard Business School.

Dave takes over from Neil Barker who was recently appointed to the new role of European Development Director. In this new role, Neil will spearhead the development of new opportunities for the Group across Europe.
