Success in UK Bus Competition

Two drivers from Travel Dundee went head to head with 115 bus drivers from across the UK recently when they represented the Company in this year's Bus Driver of the Year awards.

John Black and Ann McDougall took part in a number of written and practical tests on the weekend of 10th September in Blackpool in a bid to be crowned Bus Driver of the Year 2005.

Whilst they weren't placed in the top three they still came away with positions to be proud of with John picking up 21st place and Ann taking 69th.

They were joined by fellow driver's from the UK Bus Division which has companies in the West Midlands and London.

Divisional Staff Development Managaer William Shaw said: "It was a fantastic result from all of our drivers and it was good to see such a team effort with all of our competitors spurring each other on. I'd like to thank all of the trainers who put in so much hard work to prepare our drivers for the competition."
