Coventry welcomes 'Little Amal'

Who is Little Amal?

On Wednesday 27th October we were pleased to be part of the City of Culture celebrations as Coventry welcomed ‘Little Amal’ on her journey through the city. It was a vibrant and powerful event that we were grateful to be involved with and Darren Astbury from our team even presented Little Amal with her very own National Express Coventry bus pass!

‘Little Amal’ is a 3.5 metre-tall living artwork of a young Syrian refugee child. Created by the acclaimed Handspring Puppet Company, she is walking an amazing 8,000km across Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and through the UK to highlight the millions of displaced children around the world. This event was created to bring attention to the needs of young refugees.
