Godiva Festival has always been a favourite among families, and this year, it's going to be bigger and better than ever as the festival plans to ‘Go Wild” with its family offer.
As part of the Let’s Go Wild theme on Sunday’s family day, families will have the opportunity to roam with giant dinosaurs and watch Dr Fossil’s fabulous educational shows, complimenting the incredible Dippy the Dinosaur exhibit in the city.
Families can get involved in creative activities across both Saturday and Sunday by making their own animal headdresses and face painting, plus much more.
There will be plenty of entertainment with performances from the UK’s number one street dance crew from stage and TV - Diversity, plus a headline performance from former Spice Girl, Melanie C for a family singalong. Performances are guaranteed to get the crowd singing along and getting family audiences involved in the fun.
The family area will also feature a variety of “wild” interactive walkabout performers such as Treemendous trees - giant ancient wild trees on stilts with words of ancient tree wisdom, Sloth Time trio - interactive giant, but cute, sloth puppets, The Rig's interactive musical playground, and Hawkwise falconry where families can get up close and personal with magnificent birds of prey.
Wild arts and eco crafts can also be enjoyed between community circus performances and visits to the Go CV sports zone where visitors can get moving with everything from cheerleading to pick-up and play activities.
With so much on offer, Godiva Festival's "Go Wild" theme is set to be a day full of excitement and fun for the entire family.
With affordable ticket prices, this is the perfect opportunity for families to enjoy a great value, fun-packed day out. Sunday tickets are just £23 for a family of four (two adults and two children) and £25 for a family of five (two adults and three children). Children under the age of five can enter for free.
You can purchase tickets and find out more information on the family offer via the Godiva Festival website.
