Ahead of changes to National Express West Midlands bus routes in West Dudley, Wolverhampton and Staffordshire, the bus operator is holding customer information events in Dudley and Stourbridge.
In December 2019 National Express West Midlands announced the changes, which include more buses serving communities in Dudley, Wrens Nest, Wolverhampton and Kingswinford. Himley will also continue to be served every 20 minutes to Wolverhampton and Merry Hill.
Staff will be available between 7:30am and 6:30pm at Dudley bus station on Tuesday 14th January and Stourbridge bus station on Thursday 16th January to answer any customer questions about the upcoming changes.
Chris Gibbens, Commercial Director of National Express West Midlands, said:
“To help our loyal and new customers understand the upcoming route changes we’ll be holding events in Dudley and Stourbridge next week.
“From 26th January we’re introducing new direct links to connect key areas on our network and we’ll have more buses serving communities in Dudley, Wrens Nest, Wolverhampton and Kingswinford. Himley will also continue to be served every 20 minutes to Wolverhampton and Merry Hill.
“We’ll be outside the travelshop at Dudley bus station on Tuesday and the timetable stand at Stourbridge bus station on Thursday ready to answer any questions and hand out new leaflets about the changes.
“We’ll also have all the latest information about our ticket offers that are available, with most fares frozen again this year. It’s the third year in a row that we’ve kept our cash fares the same.
“We very much look forward to being able to support our customers with these new network changes.”
Last year National Express West Midlands held an online and paper consultation on proposed changes to its bus network in West Dudley, Wolverhampton and Staffordshire. The feedback has helped the bus operator to develop a new network of bus services from the end of this month.
Full details of the changes are available on the website here and a guide is also available to download. Customers can also pick up printed copies of the guide at the events next week or at any other time from Dudley, Stourbridge or Wolverhampton bus stations.
