National Express West Midlands 82 and 87 services are bringing better access to the city centre for thousands of people.
Chris Gibbens, Commercial Director at National Express West Midlands, says:
“We’re really pleased that, now some of the city centre roadworks have finished, our Dudley Road buses can again go to New Street station, the Bullring, Moor Street and Old Square. Stopping at New Street station by TKMaxx also gives our customers an easy way again to get to the markets on the lower level.
“We are increasing the frequency and reliability of our services for our customers by investing an extra two buses on these routes. So there’ll be one along every 5 minutes. Of course these are our top-spec Platinum buses, with free wifi, USB chargers and extra leg room.
“And for people who just want to use the 82 or 87 to get across town, our short hop ticket is only £1.50.”
With West Midlands Metro trams stopping at the Town Hall and the Library for Victoria Square and the ICC on their new track, it’s now even easier to get into and around Birmingham city centre.
