Bordesley Green

On Wednesday 4th February 2026, between 10pm - 5am approximately, Bordesley Green from Victoria Street to Cattell Road will be closed in two phases for highway works. During this time services 97 and 97A will be diverted.

Phase 1  between 10pm - 11:59pm approximately

97 & 97A to Birmingham

From Bordesley Green, the bus will turn left onto Victoria Street, then right onto Green Lane.

It will then turn right onto Coventry Road, right again onto Cattell Road, left onto Camp Street, and left onto Garrison Lane before rejoining its usual route.

97 & 97A From Birmingham

From Garrison Lane, the bus will turn right onto Templefield Street, then right onto Cattell Road.

It will then turn left onto Coventry Road, left onto Green Lane, left onto Victoria Street, and right onto Bordesley Green before rejoining its usual route.

Phase 2 from 11:59pm - 5am approximately.

97 & 97A to Birmingham

From Bordesley Green East, the bus will turn left onto Belchers Lane, then right onto Yardley Green Road, continuing onto Green Lane.

It will then turn right onto Victoria Street, left onto Bordesley Green, and rejoin its usual route.

97 to Chelmsley Wood 

Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.
