Wake Green Road, Sparkhill closure
On Tuesday 6th January 2026, from 9.30am until 3.30pm, Wake Green Road will be closed between Yardley Wood Road and Swanshurst Lane for highway works. During this time, services 1, 5 & 41 will be diverted.
Services 1 & 41
Heading towards Five Ways
Buses will divert from Stratford Road via Court Road, Showell Green Lane, Yardley Wood Road, and Wake Green Road to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading towards Acocks Green
Buses will divert from Wake Green Road via Yardley Wood Road, Swanshurst Lane, Wake Green Road, and College Road to rejoin the normal line of route.
Service 5
Heading from Birmingham
Buses will continue along Yardley Wood Road, pass the junction with Wake Green Road, then use Swanshurst Lane, and Cole Bank Road to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading towards Birmingham
Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.
