Birmingham A38 Queensway Tunnel Closures in July

The Queensway tunnels in Birmingham City Centre, which are 40 years old, are to be closed for six weeks from July for refurbishment work to be carried out.

All night bus boost for workers and job seekers

Shift workers, job seekers and even holiday-makers are set to benefit from a new, 24 hour bus service linking some of the region’s biggest employers.

The route of the existing 97 service between Birmingham city centre, Heartlands Hospital and Chelmsley Wood is to be extended from this weekend (Sunday March 24) to also serve Birmingham Airport,

Service changes from 9th June 2013

Over the past few months we have been talking to many of our customers and looking carefully at where traffic problems inconvenience passengers by delaying services. We have also looked at what links we provide, where we need extra buses and where there may be too many buses for the level of demand.

Birmingham City Centre bus stop changes - 28th April 2013

From Sunday, 28th April 2013 there will be changes to bus stopping places for a number of our services in Birmingham City Centre

Service changes from Sunday, 28th April 2013

National Express West Midlands will be introducing the following changes to services from Sunday, 28th April 2013.

Hamstead, Acfold Road

From 09:00 on Friday 24th May until 09:30 on Saturday 25th June 2013 (24 Hours.)
Acfold Road will be closed from Craythorne Avenue to Hamstead Hall Avenue for water leakage repair works by Severn Trent.

Wylde Green, Birmingham Road

Monday, 20th May to Friday 31st May 2013, overnight from 19:00 until 06:00 each night.
Birmingham Road will be closed from Chester Road to Little Green Lane including junction to allow for resurfacing works to take place.

Black Haynes Road & Swarthmore Road

Monday, 20th May to Friday, 31st May 2013, from 09:30 until 16:00 each day.
Black Haynes Road and Swarthmore Road will be closed from Middle Park Road to Shenley Lane to allow Amey to carry out resurfacing works.

Longbridge, Bristol Road South

Monday to Friday, 20th - 24th May 2013 overnight from 20:00 until 06:00 each night.
Bristol Road South will be closed in one direction only (from City Centre) from Tessal Lane to Quarry Lane to allow for the completion of resurfacing works.

Birmingham City Centre, Hill Street

Tuesday/Wednesday, 14th/15th May 2013, overnight from midnight on Tuesday until 04:00 on Wednesday.
Hill Street will be closed from Navigation Street to Dudley Street for works by Network Rail.

Oakfield Road (Wynall)

Between Wednesday 22 and Friday 24 May 2013

Road works will be carried out on the roundabout at the junction of Oakfield Road/Worton Road between the above dates. No diversions are in place but delays may be possible on Service 276.
