Aldridge Road, Great Barr closure

From Friday 24th April to Tuesday 19th May 2026, between 7pm and 5am on weekdays, Aldridge Road will be closed from Dyas Road to College Road for highway resurfacing works. During this time, services 28, 997 & 998 will be diverted.

Service 28

Heading towards Great Barr

Buses will divert from Dyas Road, right Aldridge Road, left Malthouse Road, continue Sandy Lane, left Beeches Road, and right Hassop Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Heartlands

Buses will continue along Beeches Road, left Sandy Lane, right Aldridge Road, and left Dyas Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Services 997 & 998

Heading from Birmingham

Buses will divert from College Road, left Kingstanding Road, left Dyas Road, continue Dyas Road, and right Old Oscott Lane to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Birmingham

Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.
