Aldridge Road, Oscott closure

From Monday 30th March to Wednesday 1st April 2026, between 7pm and 5am, Aldridge Road will be closed from Booths Lane to Queslett Road for highway resurfacing works. During this time, services 28, 997 & 998 will be diverted.

Service 28

Heading towards Great Barr
Buses will divert from Dyas Road, u-turn at Old Oscott Lane, return Oscott Road, right Kingstanding Road, right Greenholm Road, right Aldridge Road, and left Beeches Road to rejoin the normal line of route. 

Heading towards Heartlands
Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.

Services 997 & 998

Heading towards Birmingham
Buses will divert from Beacon Road, left Queslett Road, fifth exit Kings Road, right Shady Lane, left Oscott School Lane, right Old Oscott Lane, right Dyas Road, right Kingstanding Road, right Greenholme Road, and right Aldridge Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Walsall
Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.
