On Sunday 26th April 2026, there will be several road closures in Birmingham and Sandwell whilst the Vaisakhi Parade takes place. During this time, services 11A, 11C, 16, 74, 80, 87, 89 & 101 will be diverted.
From 9.15am until 12.30pm approximately, Soho Road will be closed between Great Hampton Street and Booth Street.
11C towards Perry Barr
Buses will divert from Winson Green Road, right Lodge Road, continue Goode Avenue, continue Whitmoor Street, left Hockley Circus, third exit New John Street West, first exit Great King Street North, continue Wheeler Street, left Lozells Road, right Hamstead Road, and right Wellington Road to rejoin the normal line of route.
11A towards Bearwood
Buses will divert from Church Lane, u-turn at Grove Lane island, return Church Lane, right Hamstead Road, left Lozells Road, right Wheeler Street, continue Great King Street North, second exit Boulton Middleway, second exit Heaton Street, left Whitmoor Street, continue Goode Avenue, continue Lodge Road, and left Winson Green Road to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading from Birmingham
Buses will divert from Hockley Circus, third exit Hunters Road, right Nursery Road, continue Gerrard Street, left Wheeler Street, left Lozells Road, and right Hamstead Road to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading towards Birmingham
Buses will divert from Hamstead Road, left Lozells Road, right Baker Street, continue Hunters Road, and rejoin the normal line of route at Hockley Circus.
Heading towards West Bromwich
Buses will divert from Hockley Circus, fourth exit New John Street West, first exit Great King Street North, continue Wheeler Street, left Lozells Road, right Hamstead Road, left Church Road, second exit Oxhill Road, continue Sandwell Road, continue Island Road, and right Holyhead Road to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading towards Birmingham
Buses will divert from Birmingham Road, left Island Road, continue Sandwell Road, continue Oxhill Road, continue Church Lane, right Hamstead Road, left Lozells Road, right Wheeler Street, continue Great King Street, continue Hockley Circus, and first exit Great Hampton Street to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading from Birmingham
Buses will divert from All Saints Street, right Goode Avenue, continue Whitmoor Street, left Hockley Circus, second exit Hunters Road, right Nursery Road, continue Gerrard Street, left Wheeler Street, left Lozells Road, right Hamstead Road, left Church Lane, and continue Grove Lane to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading towards Birmingham
Buses will divert from Oxhill Road, continue Church Lane, right Hamstead Road, left Lozells Road, right Wheeler Street, right Gerrard Street, continue Nursery Road, left Hunters Road, continue Hockley Circus, third exit Heaton Street, u-turn at next island, return Heaton Street, left Whitmoor Street, continue Goode Avenue, and left All Saints Street to rejoin the normal line of route.
From 9am until 3pm approximately, High Street, Rolfe Street and Tollhouse Way will be closed.
Heading towards Birmingham
Buses will divert from Spon Lane South, continue Mallin Street, continue West Park Road, left Holly Lane, right Devonshire Road, right Stony Lane, left Little Moor Hill, left Coopers Lane, and continue Crocketts Lane to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading toward West Bromwich
Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.
Heading towards Birmingham
Buses will divert from Oldbury Road, right Mallin Street, continue West Park Road, right Holly Lane, left Manor Road, continue Church Road, left Bearwood Road, and High Street to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading towards Dudley
Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.
Heading towards Midland Metropolitan Hospital
Buses will divert from Trinity Way, second exit Spon Lane South, continue Mallin Street, continue West Park Road, left Holly Lane, right Devonshire Road, and right Stony Lane to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading towards West Bromwich
Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.
