Cuckoo Road, Nechells closure

On Wednesday 7th January 2026, from 7pm until 5am, Cuckoo Road will be closed between Star City and Lichfield Road for resurfacing works. During this time, service 66 will be diverted.

Heading towards Sutton Coldfield
Buses will divert from Elliot Street via Long Acre, Thimble Mill Lane, Church Road, and Lichfield Road to rejoin the normal line of route after the junction with Cuckoo Road. Star City will not be served in this direction.

Heading towards Birmingham
Buses will divert from Star City roundabout via Cuckoo Road, Heartlands Parkway, Aston Church Road, and Nechells Park Road to rejoin the normal line of route.
