Edgewood Road, Kings Norton closure

On Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd April 2026, from 9.30am to 2.30pm, Edgewood Road will be closed for highway works. During this time, services 35 & 48 will be diverted.

Service 35 - Wednesday 22nd April

Heading towards Hawkesley

Buses will continue along Longdales Road, pass the junction with Edgewood Road, and rejoin the normal line of route after the junction with Shannon Road.

Heading towards Birmingham

Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.

Service 35 - Thursday 23rd April

Phase one - 9.30am to 12.30pm

Heading towards Hawkesley

Buses will continue along Longdales Road, pass the junction with Edgewood Road, and rejoin the normal line of route after the junction with Shannon Road.

Heading towards Birmingham

Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.

Phase two - 12.30pm to 2.30pm

Heading towards Hawkesley

Buses will continue along Shannon Road, pass the junction with Meadowsweet Avenue, and continue to rejoin the normal line of route after the junction with Old Portway.

Heading towards Birmingham

Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.

Service 48 - Wednesday 22nd & Thursday 23rd April

Heading towards Hawkesley

Buses will divert from Bracken Way, left Longdales Road, right Shannon Road, and terminate at the old terminus.

Heading towards West Bromwich

Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.
