On Friday 26th June 2026, Genners Lane will be closed in two phases between Merritts Hill and Jiggins Lane for highway patch works. During this time, services 18, 23 & X21 will be diverted.
From 9.30am to 11.45am approximately, Genners Lane will be closed between Jiggins Lane and Cromwell Lane.
Heading towards Bartley Green
Buses will be diverted from Moors Lane, right Cromwell Lane, continue Woodcock Lane, continue Woodcock Lane, left Barnes Hill, left Stonehouse Lane, left Jiggins Lane, and right Genners Lane to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading towards Bartley Green
Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.
Heading towards Bartley Green
Buses will terminate at the top of Romsley Road.
Heading towards Birmingham
Buses will start service at the top of Romsley Road and follow the normal line of route.
Heading towards Bartley Green
Buses will continue along Woodcock Lane, pass the junction with Cromwell Lane, continue Woodcock Lane, left Barnes Hill, left Stonehouse Lane, left Jiggins Lane, and right Genners Lane to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading towards Birmingham
Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.
From 11.45am to 2.30pm approximately, Genners Lane will be closed between Long Nuke Road and Merritts Hill.
Heading towards Bartley Green
Buses will continue along Bristol Road South, pass the junction with Frankley Beeches Road, continue Bristol Road South, u-turn at South Road and return Bristol Road South, continue Sir Herbert Austin Way, left Bell Hill, continue Shenley Lane, left Long Nuke Road, and right Genners Lane to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading towards Yardley Wood
Buses will be diverted from Moors Lane, left Genners Lane, left Long Nuke Road, right Shenley Lane, continue Bell Hill, right Sir Herbert Austin Way, left Lockwood Road, and left Bristol Road South to rejoin the normal line of route.
