Highgate Road, Highgate closure

On Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th May 2026, from 7pm to 5am, Highgate Road will be closed between Stratford Road and Moseley Road for LED lighting works. During this time, services 2, 3, 8A & 8C will be diverted.

Services 2 & 3

Heading from Birmingham

Buses will continue along Stratford Road, pass the junction with Highgate Road, continue Stratford Road, right Court Road, left Showell Green Lane, and left Yardley Wood Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Birmingham

Buses will be diverted from Yardley Wood Road, right Showell Green Lane, and left Stratford Road to rejoin the normal line of route after the junction with Highgate Road.

Services 8A & 8C

8C towards Ladywood

Buses will be diverted from Walford Road, right Stratford Road, continue Camp Hill roundabout, first exit Highgate Middleway, continue Haden Circus, and third exit Belgrave Middleway to rejoin the normal line of route.

8A towards Small Heath

Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.
