Metchley Lane, Harborne closure

On Tuesday 26th May 2026, from 10pm to 5am, Metchley Lane will be closed between Harborne Park Road and Woodleigh Avenue for highway lighting works. During this time, services 48 & X22 will be diverted.

Service 48

Heading towards Hawkesley

Buses will continue along New Fosse Way, pass the junction of Hospital Way, continue New Fosse Way, second exit Aston Webb Boulevard, continue to retail park island, third exit Harborne Lane, and left Quinton Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards West Bromwich

Buses will be diverted from Harborne Park Road, third exit Harborne Lane, continue to retail park island, first exit Aston Webb Boulevard, first exit New Fosse way, and continue New Fosse Way to rejoin the normal line of route.

Service X22

Heading towards Bartley Green

Buses will continue along New Fosse Way, pass the junction of Hospital Way, continue New Fosse Way, second exit Aston Webb Boulevard, continue to retail park island, third exit Harborne Lane, and left Quinton Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Birmingham

Buses will be diverted from Harborne Park Road, third exit Harborne Lane, continue to retail park island, first exit Aston Webb Boulevard, first exit New Fosse way, and continue New Fosse Way to rejoin the normal line of route.
