Metchley Lane, Harborne closure
On Wednesday 18th February 2026, from 9.30am until 3pm, Metchley Lane will be closed in sections between Harborne Park Road and Cross Farm Road for highway works. During this time services 48 & X22 will be diverted.
Service 48
Heading towards Hawkesley
Buses will divert from New Fosse Way, first exit to continue along New Fosse Way, second exit Aston Webb Boulevard, retail park roundabout, third exit Harborne Lane, and left Quinton Road to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading towards West Bromwich
Buses will divert from Harborne Park Road, third exit Harborne Lane, retail park roundabout, first exit Aston Webb Boulevard, and first exit New Fosse Way to rejoin the normal line of route.
Service X22
Heading towards Bartley Green
Buses will divert from New Fosse Way, first exit to continue along New Fosse Way, second exit Aston Webb Boulevard, retail park roundabout, third exit Harborne Lane, and left Quinton Road to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading towards Birmingham
Buses will divert from Harborne Park Road, third exit Harborne Lane, retail park roundabout, first exit Aston Webb Boulevard, and first exit New Fosse Way to rejoin the normal line of route.
