Metchley Lane, Harborne closure

On Monday 23rd March 2026, from 9.30am to 3pm, Metchley Lane will be closed in sections between Harborne Park Road and Cross Farm Road for highway lighting works. During this time, services 48 & X22 will be diverted.

Service 48

Heading towards Hawkesley
Buses will divert from New Fosse Way, first exit New Fosse Way, second exit Aston Webb Boulevard to retail park, third exit Harborne Lane, and left Quinton Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards West Bromwich
Buses will divert from Harborne Park Road, third exit Harborne Lane to retail park, first exit Aston Webb Boulevard, and first exit New Fosse Way to rejoin the normal line of route.

Service X22

Heading towards Bartley Green
Buses will divert from New Fosse Way, first exit New Fosse Way, second exit Aston Webb Boulevard to retail park, third exit Harborne Lane, and left Quinton Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Birmingham
Buses will divert from Harborne Park Road, third exit Harborne Lane to retail park, first exit Aston Webb Boulevard, and first exit New Fosse Way to rejoin the normal line of route.
