Metchley Lane, Harborne closure
On Tuesday 6th January 2026, from 9.30am until 2.30pm, Metchley Lane will be closed in sections between Harborne Park Road and Cross Farm Road for highway works. During this time, services 48 & X22 will be diverted.
Service 48
Heading towards Hawkesley
Buses will continue along New Fosse Way, pass the junction with Mindelsohn Way, then use Aston Webb Boulevard, Harborne Lane, and Quinton Road to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading towards West Bromwich
Buses will divert from Harborne Park Road via Harborne Lane, Aston Webb Boulevard, and New Fosse Way to rejoin the normal line of route.
Service X22
Heading towards Bartley Green
Buses will continue along New Fosse Way, pass the junction with Mindelsohn Way, then use Aston Webb Boulevard, Harborne Lane, and Quinton Road to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading towards Birmingham
Buses will divert from Harborne Park Road via Harborne Lane, Aston Webb Boulevard, and New Fosse Way to rejoin the normal line of route.
