Shenley Lane, Weoley Castle closure
On Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th January 2026, from 8pm until 5am, Shenley Lane will be closed in sections between Stonehouse Lane and Bristol Road for highway repairs. During this time, services 48 & X20 will be diverted.
Service 48
Heading towards Hawkesley
Buses will divert from California Way via Stonehouse Lane, Jiggins Lane, Genners Lane, Long Nuke Road, Gregory Avenue, Weoley Castle Road, Weoley Castle Square, Weoley Castle Road, Castle Road, Middle Park Road, Swarthmore Road, and Shenley Lane to rejoin the normal line of route.
Heading towards West Bromwich
Buses will continue along Bristol Road South to Middle Park Road, Castle Road, Weoley Castle Road, Weoley Castle Square, Weoley Castle Road, Gregory Avenue, Long Nuke Road, Genners Lane, Jiggins Lane, and Stonehouse Lane to rejoin the normal line of route.
Service X20
Heading towards Birmingham
Buses will continue along Bristol Road South to Middle Park Road and rejoin the normal line of route after the junction with Swarthmore Road.
Heading towards Bromsgrove
Buses will follow the normal line of route.
