St Marys Road, Smethwick closure

On Sunday 26th and Monday 27th April 2026, from 8am to 6pm, St Marys Road will be closed for carriageway works. During this time, services 48 & 49 will be diverted.

Service 48

Heading towards QE Hospital

Buses will divert from Lightwoods Hill, left Barclay Road, right Abbey Road, continue Three Shires Oak Road, and right Bearwood Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards West Bromwich

Buses will follow the reverse of the above route

Service 49

Heading towards West Bromwich

Buses will divert from Bearwood Road, continue past the junction of St Marys Road, left Three Shires Oak Road, continue Abbey Road, left Barclay Road, and right Lightwoods Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Bearwood

Buses will follow the normal line of route.
