Vanguard Road, Birmingham Airport closure

On Wednesday 27th May 2026, from 11pm to 3.30am, Vanguard Road will be closed between Station access way and Airport Way for highway works. During this time, services 17A, 96 & 97A will be diverted.

Heading towards Birmingham Airport

Buses will continue along Bickenhill Lane, pass the junction with Vanguard Road, continue Bickenhill Lane, second exit Airport Way, fourth exit Airport Way, and second exit Comet Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading from Birmingham Airport

Buses will be diverted from Station Way, u-turn at Vanguard Road roundabout, return Station Way, continue Bickenhill Lane, first exit Airport Way, fourth exit Airport Way, and second exit Comet Road to rejoin the normal line of route.
