Walsall Road, Great Barr closure

On Sunday 17th May 2026, from 7pm to 5am, Walsall Road will be closed between Rocky Lane and Old Walsall Road for IIP resurface HFS works. During this time, services 16, 28, 51, 52 & X51 will be diverted.

Service 16

Heading towards Scott Arms

Buses will be diverted from Newton Road, left Birmingham Road, u-turn at M6/J7 roundabout, return Birmingham Road, and right Newton Road to terminate at stop GF outside Newton Fish Bar.

Heading towards Birmingham

Buses will start from stop GF and follow the normal line of route.

Service 28

Heading towards Scott Arms

Buses will be diverted from Beeches Road, left Walsall Road, right Rocky Lane, right Old Walsall Road, continue Old Walsall Road, and left Walsall Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Heartlands

Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.

Service 51 & X51

Heading towards Walsall

Buses will be diverted from Walsall Road, left Rocky Lane, right Old Walsall Road, continue Old Walsall Road, and left Walsall Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Birmingham

Buses will follow the normal line of route.

Service 52

Heading towards Great Barr

Buses will be diverted from Walsall Road, right Church Road, left Aldridge Road, left continue Aldridge Road, left Thornbridge Avenue, continue Thornbridge Avenue, and right Hassop Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Birmingham

Buses will follow the normal line of route.
