Wheeleys Road, Edgbaston closure

From Tuesday 7th to Friday 10th April 2026, Wheeleys Road will be closed from St James Road to Carpenter Road for highway works. During this time, services X20, X21 & X22 will be diverted.

Heading towards Birmingham
Buses will divert from Edgbaston Park Road, left Church Road, left Westbourne Road, right Westbourne Crescent, left Highfield Road, right Harborne Road, Five Ways Island, fourth exit Islington Row Middleway, and left Bath Row to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading from Birmingham
Buses will divert from Wheeleys Lane, right Islington Row Middleway, Five Ways Island, first exit Calthorpe Road, continue Church Road, u-turn at Priory Road roundabout, return Church Road, and left Edgbaston Park Road to rejoin the normal line of route.
