Wolverhampton 10k running event

On Sunday 29th March 2026, from 8.30am until 11am approximately, there will be multiple road closures in Wolverhampton whilst the 10k running event takes place. During this time, services 3, 4, 5, 6, 32, 33, 62 & 62A will be diverted.

Service 3

Whilst Waterloo Road and Stafford Road are closed, service 3 will follow the below diversion:

Heading towards Fordhouses
Buses will continue along Stafford Street, cross Ring Road St Peters, continue Stafford Street, right Cannock Road, left Park Lane, right First Avenue, continue Kempthorne Avenue, left Elston Hall Lane, continue Three Tuns Lane, and continue Marsh Lane to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Castlecroft
Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.

Service 4

Whilst Waterloo Road, Stafford Road, Oxley Moor Road and Probert Road are closed, service 4 will follow the below diversion:

Heading towards i54
Buses will continue along Stafford Street, cross Ring Road St Peters, continue Stafford Street, right Cannock Road, left Park Lane, right First Avenue, continue Kempthorne Avenue, left Elston Hall Lane, continue Three Tuns Lane, right Stafford Road, left Wobaston Road, left The Droveway, left Blaydon Road, and left Whitburn Close to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Wolverhampton
Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.

Service 5

Whilst Waterloo Road, Stafford Road, Aldersley Road and Hordern Road are closed, service 5 will follow the below diversion:

Heading towards Codsall
Buses will divert from Waterloo Road, left Ring Road St Andrews, Chapel Ash Island, third exit Chapel Ash, continue Tettenhall Road, right Lower Street, and right Aldersley Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Wolverhampton
Buses will follow the reverse of the above route to Ring Road St Andrews, then continue Ring Road St Peters and right Stafford Street to rejoin the normal line of route.

Service 6

Whilst Waterloo Road, Stafford Road, Aldersley Road and Hordern Road are closed, service 6 will follow the below diversion:

Heading towards Wobaston
Buses will divert from Waterloo Road, left Ring Road St Andrews, Chapel Ash Island, third exit Chapel Ash, continue Tettenhall Road, right Lower Street, continue Codsall Road, and right Pendeford Avenue to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Wolverhampton
Buses will follow the reverse of the above route to Ring Road St Andrews, then continue Ring Road St Peters and right Stafford Street to rejoin the normal line of route.

Services 32 & 33

Whilst Stafford Street and Stafford Road will be closed, services 32 & 33 will follow the below diversion:

Service 32 towards Northwood Park
Buses will continue along Stafford Street, cross Ring Road St Peters, continue Stafford Street, right Cannock Road, left Park Lane, right First Avenue, continue Kempthorne Avenue, left Bushbury Lane, and right Fordhouses Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Service 33 towards Northwood Park
Buses will continue along Stafford Street, cross Ring Road St Peters, continue Stafford Street, right Cannock Road, left Park Lane, right First Avenue, continue Kempthorne Avenue, and left Bushbury Lane to rejoin the normal line of route.

Services 32 & 33 towards Wolverhampton
Buses will follow the reverse of the above routes.

Services 62 & 62A

Whilst Waterloo Road, Stafford Road, Gorsebrook Road and Hordern Road are closed, services 62 & 62A will follow the below diversion:

Heading towards Compton
Buses will divert from Waterloo Road, left Ring Road St Andrews, Chapel Ash Island, third exit Chapel Ash, continue Tettenhall Road, and left Henwood Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Wolverhampton
Buses will follow the reverse of the above route to Ring Road St Andrews, then continue Ring Road St Peters and right Stafford Street to rejoin the normal line of route.
