Happy Black Country Day! What better way to celebrate than by exploring the amazing sights and sounds of the Black Country? Our bus services make it super easy to get around, so hop on and let’s check out some of the best places you can visit.

Dudley Zoo and Castle

Start your adventure at Dudley Zoo and Castle. This place is incredible with over 1,300 animals and a cool 11th-century castle. Walk through the castle ruins, enjoy stunning views, and meet all kinds of animals. Black Country Living Museum

Black Country Living Museum

Next stop: the Black Country Living Museum. Just a quick bus ride from Dudley town centre (routes 11 and 11A,), this open-air museum takes you back in time. Stroll through old-fashioned streets, chat with people in period costumes, and learn about the area’s industrial history. Don’t miss the historic buses and trams inside the museum!

Walsall Leather Museum

Walsall is famous for its leather goods, and the Walsall Leather Museum is the place to see why. Hop on our 29 or 31 bus routes to get there. You’ll find cool exhibits on leathercraft and even get to see live demonstrations and join in some workshops. It’s a fun and hands-on experience.

The New Art Gallery Walsall

While you’re in Walsall, check out The New Art Gallery. This gallery is full of amazing contemporary art, including works by famous artists like Jacob Epstein. Entry is free and the exhibitions change regularly, so there’s always something new to see. Hop on our 36, 41 and 529 bus routes to get straight to the gallery.

Himley Hall and Park

Take a short bus ride from Dudley to Himley Hall and Park (routes 15 and 15A). This beautiful 18th-century manor house is surrounded by 180 acres of parkland. It’s a great spot for a relaxing walk, a picnic, or just enjoying the lovely scenery. The hall also hosts various exhibitions and events throughout the year.

The Red House Glass Cone

In Stourbridge, the Red House Glass Cone is a must-visit. This 18th-century glass cone is a nod to the area’s glassmaking past. Watch live glassmaking demonstrations and check out the interesting exhibits. There are also craft workshops and a nice little café on site. Our 16 bus route can take you to the glass cone.

If you love the outdoors, Sandwell Valley Country Park (served by our 54 bus route) is perfect. With walking trails, birdwatching, a Victorian farm, and even a high ropes adventure course, there’s something for everyone. It’s a great place to spend the day in nature with the family.
