Looking for great things to do this May half term? We’ve taken the mayhem out of the half term rush and put together a list of marvellous activities and events happening all around the West Midlands. Get ready for a fun-filled break with plenty of family-friendly ideas to keep everyone entertained.
Enjoy a free family attraction at the NEC with a new outdoor space for all the family. The NEC Lakeside will offer free activities including an outdoor cinema, a children’s play area, activity trail and a picnic area.
The 97A, X1 or X12 will get you to Birmingham International Rail Station which is just a short walk to the NEC.
Join the museums this May half term from 23rd - 30th May, for a week full of family friendly activities and events including hands on science experiments at the Thinktank, a fairy tale inspired trail of Aston Hall or a kids jewellery workshop at the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter.
Science loving kids will enjoy the outdoor exhibits at Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum. While the full museum requires a ticket, the Science Garden, an outdoor area with hands-on experiments and machines, can be visited for free after 3pm.

On Friday 29th May get ready for an exciting community celebration Priory Fest comes to Priory Park in Dudley. A day to bring people together for a fun family day out, the festival will feature a mix of live music, delicious food, local traders, and activities for all ages to enjoy.
Priory park is just a short walk from Dudley bus station.
Visit Wolverhampton Art Gallery this half term and let the kids join in with a number of workshops including 'Build Your Own “Self Sculpture', Art Play and a 'Big Ideas! – Projected Drawings workshop'. All sessions can be booked online.
