Alcester Road, Balsall Heath Closure

On Sunday 20th September 2026, from 7am to 1pm, Alcester Road will be closed from Homer Street to Edward Road for highway works. Service 50 will be diverted during this time.

Heading towards Birmingham

Buses from Alcester Road will turn left onto Salisbury Road, take the roundabout onto Willows Road, continue onto Longmore Street, turn left onto Belgrave Middleway, loop around Belgrave Interchange to return along Belgrave Middleway to Haden Circus, continue on Belgrave Middleway, turn left onto Moseley Road, and resume the normal line of route.

Heading towards Druids Heath

Buses from Moseley Road will turn right onto Belgrave Middleway, take the 2nd exit at the roundabout to continue straight on Belgrave Middleway, turn left onto Longmore Street, continue towards Lincoln Street into Willows Road, take the 1st exit at the roundabout onto Salisbury Road, turn right onto Alcester Road, and resume the normal line of route.
