Aston Church Road, Washwood Heath closure

From 2am on Sunday 19th to 1.59am on Monday 20th July 2026, Aston Church Road will be closed between Washwood Heath Road and Heartlands Parkway for urgent manhole works. During this time, services 8A, 8C, 94 & 95 will be diverted.

Services 8A & 8C

8A towards Aston

Buses will be diverted from Adderley Road, u-turn at Alum Rock Road roundabout, return Adderley Road, right Duddeston Mill Road, right Devon Street, right Alderflat Place, left Mainstream Way, and left Saltley Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

8C towards Bordesley Green

Buses will be diverted from Saltley Road roundabout, third exit Mainstream Way, right Alderflat Place, left Devon Street, left Duddeston Mill Road, left Adderley Road, u-turn at Alum Rock Road roundabout, and return Adderley Road to rejoin the normal line of route.

Services will use single deck buses only.

Services 94 & 95

Heading towards Chelmsley Wood

Buses will be diverted from Saltley Road roundabout, third exit Mainstream Way, right Alderflat Place, left Devon Street, left Duddeston Mill Road, left Adderley Road, at Alum Rock Road roundabout second exit Washwood Heath Road, and continue Ashwood Heath Road to rejoin the normal line of route after the junction with Aston Church Road.

Heading towards Birmingham

Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.

Services will use single deck buses only.
