Pineapple Road & Cartland Road closure
As part of the Camp Hill rail line works, there will be a two stage closure of Pineapple Road & Cartland Road for work to take place on the Pineapple Road station. During this time, service 27 will be diverted.
Phase 1 - Monday 18th August until Sunday 24th August 2025
During phase 1, Pineapple Road will be closed along with the junction at Cartland Road.
Heading towards Rubery
Buses will divert via Dad’s Lane, Dogpool Lane, and Pershore Road to rejoin the normal line of route after the junction of Pershore Road and Cartland Road.
Heading towards Solihull
Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.
Stops along Pineapple Road and Cartland Road will not be served at this time. The closest stops will be:
Heading towards Solihull
- Pershore Road, Umberslade Road
- Pershore Road, Warwards Lane
- Dad’s Lane, Shutlock Lane
Heading towards Rubery
- Dad’s Lane, Shutlock Lane
- Hazelwell Street, Umberslade Road
Phase 2 - Monday 25th August until Tuesday 14th October approximately
During phase 2, Cartland Road will reopen but the closure on Pineapple Road will continue.
Heading towards Rubery
Buses will continue along Vicarage Road, pass the junction with Avenue Road, and continue along Vicarage Road until the junction with Cartland Road, where buses will rejoin the normal line of route on Cartland Road after the junction with Pineapple Road.
Heading towards Solihull
Buses will follow the reverse of the above route.
Stops along Pineapple Road, Dad’s Lane, and Avenue Road will not be served at this time. The closed stops will be:

- Vicarage Road, Abbots Road
- Cartland Road, Pineapple Road
Heading towards Solihull
- Cartland Road, Lyndworth Road
- Vicarage Road, Abbots Road
Customers can also use service 76 from Dad’s Lane and Avenue Road.
